PRIVACYCookies
This site sets no advertising tracker, and its audience measurement works without cookies. Only the technical part remains: enough to keep you logged in to your customer area.
No trackers, no advertising
No ad network, no social network pixel, no targeting cookie. We sell nothing on to anyone and we cross-reference your browsing with nothing.
To know which pages are read, we use Fathom Analytics (cdn.usefathom.com), an audience measurement without cookies and without personal data. It counts page views, not people. So nothing is written in your browser to tell us you have been here before.
What remains: the strict minimum
Three cookies, all set by the site itself, and none by a third party. The session first: when you open your customer area, a cookie keeps you logged in from one page to the next. Without it, your password would be asked for again at every click, and it disappears when the browser is closed. The other two are only written if you log in: one remembers your choice to stay logged in from one visit to the next, the other links your visits to your account. Their content is encrypted and says nothing more than your customer ID.
| NAME | ROLE | DURATION |
|---|---|---|
| PHPSESSID | Keeps you logged in to the customer area from one page to the next. Set by PHP, the language of the site. | for the duration of the visit |
| mcillremember | Remembers the choice Stay logged in, so you do not have to re-enter your password on your next visit. Encrypted content. | 30 days |
| mcillfollow | Links your visits to your customer account once you are logged in. Encrypted content. | 30 days |
| Fathom Analytics | Audience measurement. No cookie is set. | not applicable |
Refusing or deleting cookies
Everything is handled in your browser, not on our side. Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari all have a privacy section that lets you block cookies, restrict them to certain sites, or delete everything for a specific address.
Deleting this site's cookies logs you out: your next visit starts again at the login screen. Blocking them entirely prevents you from logging in, since the session has nowhere left to be stored. Reading the public pages, however, remains possible: the plans, the tutorials and the blog are displayed without any cookie.
A browser set to block all cookies cannot open the customer area. Allow at least the session cookie for this site if you need to manage your server.
And your data?
Cookies are only part of the story. What we keep, why, for how long and how to have it deleted is detailed in our privacy policy. For a specific question about a cookie you have spotted, write to us from the contact page.
