What Minecraft illimity records about you, why, for how long, and what you can ask of us. This page describes the processing we actually carry out, service by service.

Who is responsible

Minecraft illimity is published by Starlancer S.R.L., Aleea Privighetorilor 86P, Bloc D, 014031 Bucarest, Roumanie. We have been hosting Minecraft servers since 2012.

Starlancer S.R.L. is the data controller for what belongs to us in our own right: your customer account, your billing, your support tickets, the operation and security of our machines.

A second case follows a different rule. The data your players leave on your server, usernames, IP addresses, messages, logs, are not ours. You decide what runs on it and who has access to it. We host it on your behalf. If your server is open to the public, that responsibility falls to you.

What we process, and why

Your customer account

The account carries a name, a postal address and an email address. These three items are required before any payment, because they appear on the invoice: as long as they are missing, no payment goes through. They are also used to reach you, about a due date or an incident.

A customer can grant delegated access, page by page. Each delegated access requires an account, and therefore one more email address.

Payment and billing

We accept bank cards, PayPal, Paysafecard and Allopass, by premium-rate phone and by SMS. We never see your card number: it is entered with the payment provider, who processes this data under its own responsibility and only returns a result to us, accepted or declined, with a transaction reference.

On our side remain the date, the amount, the plan concerned and the payment method used. Accounting requires it. Group contributions follow the same rule: when friends chip in to pay for your server, their payment goes through the same provider and we keep only the accounting record.

Support

Support works by ticket, from the customer area, in French. A ticket keeps what you write, what we reply and the files you attach. This is deliberate: a history saves you from re-explaining a case at every exchange. One piece of advice: never paste a password into a ticket.

Your server and its files

A Minecraft server writes logs. They contain the usernames and IP addresses of the players who connect to it and, depending on the plugins installed, their messages. You access them via FTP or the online file editor, you can delete them, and the panel can analyse them to help you understand a crash.

We do not open these files on our own initiative. Two cases lead us to do so: you ask us to in a ticket, or a technical incident or an abuse report obliges us to investigate. The automatic backups cover the server files, logs included.

Network security

All servers go through Arbor anti-DDoS protection. Filtering an attack means examining incoming traffic, and therefore IP addresses, for as long as it takes to tell a normal connection from a deliberate flood. This examination serves to keep the service up and to ward off abuse, nothing else: no profiling, no cross-referencing with your account.

Audience measurement

We measure site traffic with Fathom Analytics, loaded from cdn.usefathom.com. This measurement is done without cookies and without personal data : we know how many people viewed a page, not who. That is why the site does not impose a consent banner on you. The details are on the page about cookies.

On what legal basis

  • Performance of the contract : the account, opening and running the server, support, payment collection. Without this data, the service ordered cannot be provided.
  • A legal obligation : keeping invoices and accounting records.
  • Our legitimate interest : anti-DDoS protection, fighting abuse, keeping the machines secure, and audience measurement, which does not allow anyone to be identified.

We do not sell any data and we do not rent any. We do not run targeted advertising, so we do not ask you for any advertising consent: we would have no use for it.

How long we keep it

The rental contract ends at the end of the last paid period. Our terms and conditions state that beyond this date, your server data may be deleted. If you care about your world, retrieve it beforehand, via FTP or by downloading a backup.

The terms and conditions state that server data may be deleted from two days after the end of the paid period.

The account, invoices, tickets and technical logs do not follow the same timeline: accounting sets its own, security sets its own.

Who it is shared with

  • The payment providers : bank card, PayPal, Paysafecard, Allopass. Each one processes the payment under its own responsibility and publishes its own policy.
  • Fathom Analytics, for audience measurement, without cookies or personal data.
  • Thetelecom operator that hosts our machines in Paris, for carrying traffic and filtering attacks.
  • A judicial authority, upon a formal, duly issued requisition.

There is no other recipient, and no customer file is handed over to anyone.

Where it is processed

The servers are in Paris, hosted by a major French telecom operator. We design, test and assemble the machines that run them ourselves, which limits the number of people handling the hardware. The publishing company is established in Bucharest: processing therefore takes place within the European Union. The providers mentioned above may, for their part, operate from other countries, under their own policies.

Your rights, and how to exercise them

You may request access to your data, its rectification, its erasure, the restriction of a processing operation, the portability of what you have provided to us, and object to processing based on our legitimate interest.

Preferably go through a ticket: your identity is already established there and the reply arrives in the same thread. Our terms of sale already provide for this right to consult, modify and rectify your data from the customer area.

By email, write to this address: support@minecraft-illimity.com

If the request comes from an address we do not know, we will ask you for something that confirms the account is yours. Two points before requesting erasure: it ends the service and deletes the server, and it does not cover invoices, which the law requires us to keep.

If our reply does not satisfy you, you may lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
